BIOGRAPHY
 

Dee Dee started practicing yoga while training for the NYC marathon in 2016. Like most people who come into the practice, she saw it as a “workout,” and focused on the physical benefits of asana practice. It took the pandemic for her to discover the positive effects yoga can have on the mind, body, and spirit – especially for those who’ve had traumatic life experiences. 

When the opportunity to complete her 200 hours at Stone Wave presented itself, Dee Dee didn’t hesitate to jump in. This leap of faith allowed her to gain a deeper respect for yoga on and off the mat, and to develop her voice as an instructor.

Dee Dee’s approach to yoga focuses on stilling the mind and being in the present moment. She aims to create a space where everyone feels welcome to practice without judgment.
